Obed Bangdome Ofori, a former Regional Surveillance Officer for the Ghana Health Service Western Regional Health Directorate has been admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) Degree with First Class Honours at the University of Ghana.  He obtained a Final Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.91.  Obed entered the University to pursue this 3-year Diploma-to-Degree programme in August 2019. He had earlier obtained a diploma in Disease Control and Prevention in 2011 from the College of Health and Well-being (formerly Kintampo Rural Health Training School). At the graduation ceremony that took place on 23 March, 2023 at the University's Cedi Conference Hall, Obed revealed that he almost gave up his dreams of pursuing the degree to seek greener pastures abroad but was defrauded by the visa agent.  In an exclusive interview he narrated as follows: "Two weeks into academic work, I took the decision to drop out of school due to the perceived high cost of school fees. After so much buzz on social media, Sunset 99.3MHz Entertainment Extra came off last Saturday as announced.  The show was hosted by Sambo Sulley Baba known in showbiz circles as DJ Sambo. It started off with the host playing back to back Cocoa City's songs. This really earned him plaudits from industry players and everyone who tuned in. The show also saw two of the industry's heavyweights in the Western North region in the persons of Kwabena Lyta and AkingDick premiering 'Jealousy' and Time and Season' respectively. The climax of the show was when the 'Big Question of the Day' was asked on 'Why Talents in Cocoa City haven't been able to reach their full potentials?'. Submissions were made to the question by the panelists, i.e. Phiiphi Sterling and Kryx M, the Grand papa (Osaberima). After taking a break from Radio work, DJ Sambo has finally returned.  He is set to host Sunset Radio Station's Entertainment Extra this and every Saturday from 12:30pm to 3:30pm. In a post sighted on his Facebook account, Baba Sambo wrote: "Hello fam... I’m happy to be back on air. Join me this and every Saturday for an informative, educative and interactive entertainment show on Sunset 99.3FM, Western North Region.
