Prince Ishmael Dimah Wins GAPHTO General Secretary in the Western Region

Credible Provisional Results obtained by your trusted blog shows Mr Prince Ishmael Dimah has been elected as the Western Regional  Secretary for Ghana Association of Public Health Technical Officers (GAPHTO).

He pulled 75 votes (representing 55%) whiles his contender Mr Prince Oppong-Darko had 62 votes.

As part of his campaign message, he promised that he will help resolve members issues with Allied Health Professions Council. 

Other winners were:
1. President - Mr MacJonas Kambe 125 votes (91%)
2. Vice President - Mr Joseph WK Fiagbe 71 votes (52%)
3. Ms. Sandra Opare-Ansah 126 votes (92)

The elections were done electronically on free online portal https://vote.electionrunner.com/

Out of 230 voters, 137 voted, representing 59.6% voter turn out.

In the meantime, we are waiting on the 5-member Electoral Committee to announce the certified results.

Kwabena Lyta Wins Best Hiplife Song at 2019 Edition of Western Music Awards

Poster of Kwabena Lyta for 2019 RTC WMA Sefwi Boy Movement President Kwabena Lyta last Saturday was awarded Best Hiplife Song Title at the 2019 Edition of the RTC Western Music Awards which was organised at Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi. His song Ngrakers beat top Takoradi-based artists such as Ayesem, Yaw Lucas and Aya in the Best Hiplife Song of the year category. His win is historic since he is the first artist outside Sekondi-Takoradi to have won that title. He picked the baton from the self acclaimed Fante Rap-god Kofi Kinaata who was the reigning champion. Ghana Health Service Appoints Adepa of Ghana's Most Beautiful Fame as Cervical Cancer Ambassador

Miss Adepa in April 2019 Western Region's Representative in the 2018 edition of Ghana's Most Beautiful beauty pageant, Miss Adepa has been appointed by Ghana Health Service as Cervical Cancer Ambassador. In a letter sighted by madeintaadi.blogspot.com , Dr Patrick Kumah-Aboagye, the Director-General of the service, revealed that Adepa's Ambassadorial appointment was based on her past advocacy roles in awareness creation, prevention and control of cervical cancer in Ghana. Miss Adepa with Dr Nsiah-Asare, former Director-General of Ghana Health Service  In her current position, the service will engage her in creating more awareness on this deadly disease which reportedly ranks 2nd as killer of women living in Ghana by claiming four lives on daily basis.  She is expected to use her new appointment to extend her ongoing activities assigned to her under her Miss Globe Projects.
