Prince Ishmael Dimah Wins GAPHTO General Secretary in the Western Region

Photo of Mr Prince Ishmael Dimah Credible Provisional Results obtained by your trusted blog shows Mr Prince Ishmael Dimah has been elected as the Western Regional  Secretary for Ghana Association of Public Health Technical Officers (GAPHTO). He pulled 75 votes (representing 55%) whiles his contender Mr Prince Oppong-Darko had 62 votes. As part of his campaign message, he promised that  he will help resolve members issues with Allied Health Professions Council.  Other winners were: 1. President - Mr MacJonas Kambe 125 votes (91%) 2. Vice President - Mr Joseph WK Fiagbe 71 votes (52%) 3. Ms. Sandra Opare-Ansah 126 votes (92) The elections were done electronically on free online portal  https://vote.electionrunner.com/ Out of 230 voters, 137 voted, representing 59.6% voter turn out. WESTERN REGIONAL CHAPTER OF GAPHTO GOES TO POLLS TOMORROW

The Ghana Association of Public Health Technical Officers (GAPHTO) chapter of the Western Region will tomorrow December 18, 2018 organize its General Elections to select new Regional Executives for the next four years. Since its inception in 1984 as Public Health Technical Officers Group (PUHTOG) and inauguration in 2006 as GAPHTO, the association has not been vivacious in the Western Region.  In recent times, the outgoing Regional Executives have been likened to H.E Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo (President of Equatorial Guinea) since they hold records as the longest serving Executives in the history of GAPHTO. Although, nominations were opened for six positions, members in the twenty-two Health Administrative districts filed for President (One Candidate), Vice President (Two Candidates), Secretary (Two Candidates) and Treasurer (One candidate).
