Samartex and Timber Plywood Company Limited have booked Sarkodie for its 2023 May Day celebration at Samreboi in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality of the Western Region. Flyers sighted on the official Facebook page one of award winning disc jockey,  Mr X  reveals that the free concert will come off on 1st May, 2023 at 8pm at the company's Nsyenkyire Park located at Samreboi.  Since 2017, Samartex has entertained people in and around its catchment area with free concerts with award winning musicians being the headliners. In 2017, the company brought Samini & Pat Thomas to Samreboi, 2018 was Stonebwoy and 2022 being Kofi Kinaata. Stonebwoy's show in 2018 has been noted by many patrons as the most attended.   It will be recalled that in December 2021, Shatta Wale and Medikal took their Deeper Than Blood (DTB) concert to the same venue, but had a flopped show due to low turn out of patrons. Obed Bangdome Ofori, a former Regional Surveillance Officer for the Ghana Health Service Western Regional Health Directorate has been admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) Degree with First Class Honours at the University of Ghana.  He obtained a Final Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.91.  Obed entered the University to pursue this 3-year Diploma-to-Degree programme in August 2019. He had earlier obtained a diploma in Disease Control and Prevention in 2011 from the College of Health and Well-being (formerly Kintampo Rural Health Training School).
