DJX WINS BEST MIXTAPE DJ IN GHANA

It was a streak of wins for DJX as he picks up Best Mixtape DJ award in the 2017 Rush Ghana DJ Awards held at the Silver Star Tower, Airport City in Accra after winning it 2016.

DJX was nominated in three (3) categories; Best Western Region DJ, Best Music Promoter and Best Mixtape DJ.

He hosts the Mid Morning Show at Royal 89.3FM in Asankragwa in the Western region.

The 'I am Mixtape Vol. 1" which won him the award competed with:
1. Made in Ghana Mixtape by DJ Bibini,
2. Black is Black Mixtape by DJ Masta J,
3. #MUSE Mixtape by DJ Vyrusky,
4. Shatta Wale Vs Stonebwoy, 5. Mixtape by DJ Aberga,  6. Ghana Today Mixtape by DJ Black,  7. Afrochronik by DJ Mensah and 8. GH Aftermath Mixtape by DJ Ashmen.


DJX, born Emmanuel Amoako-Atta had his award presented to him by musician Quata Burugusu who is his namesake.

His record label, Team DJX Records has started a music chart dubbed "Ghana Underground Music Chart", which aims at promoting unsung underground artists in the country.

Kwabena Lyta Wins Best Hiplife Song at 2019 Edition of Western Music Awards

Poster of Kwabena Lyta for 2019 RTC WMA Sefwi Boy Movement President Kwabena Lyta last Saturday was awarded Best Hiplife Song Title at the 2019 Edition of the RTC Western Music Awards which was organised at Best Western Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi. His song Ngrakers beat top Takoradi-based artists such as Ayesem, Yaw Lucas and Aya in the Best Hiplife Song of the year category. His win is historic since he is the first artist outside Sekondi-Takoradi to have won that title. He picked the baton from the self acclaimed Fante Rap-god Kofi Kinaata who was the reigning champion.
