WESTLINE ENTERTAINMENT REDUCES GATE FEE FOR OSIBISA BAND CONCERT

After organising what many Westerners adjudged as 2017 best event in Takoradi, West Line Entertainment takes up another challenge of hosting Osibisa Band at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel on Friday 7th July, 2017 in Takoradi.

Three days to the event, Westline Entertainment co-producers of the show have indicated to Patrons that the gate fee is now selling for only 50 cedis instead of the 70 cedis which was announced earlier on their posters and fliers.

In a facebook post by the PRO of Westline Entertainment, Nana Kwesi Coomson wrote:
"When Osibisa band and Westline Entertainment met the Sekondi-Takoradi press yesterday, the press suggested that the gate fee of the much anticipated Osibisa Live in Concert at Atlantic Hotel on Friday 7th July should be reduced from GHc70 to GHc50. Westline Entertainment has therefore absorbed the GHc 20 on the fee.The tickets are now sold for GHc50.00"

About Osibisa:
Osibisa was founded in London, England in 1969 by Teddy Osei, Sol Amarfio and Mac Tontoh, together with Spartacus R (Grenada), Robert Bailey (Trinidad), Wendell Richardson (Antigua), and Lasisi Amao (Nigeria).

The Ghanaian members were already seasoned highlife artistes living in Accra before moving to London to launch unveil themselves on the world stage. They were joined soon by Darko (Potato) Adams and Kofi Ayivor on percussions.

Osibisa is the biggest band to come out of Africa. Their type of music known as the criss-cross rhythm became an instant hit globally. The group toured the world with their own genre (criss-cross rhythms) and enrolled new members wherever they go, hence their existence up till today.

In 1986 Alf Bannerman, Victor Tof-Mensah and Bessa Simons all from Ghana were the new generation that joined the band. Teddy Osei says “Osibisa is now a worldwide institution not a band anymore”

Patrons can Call 0248185848 for tickets.
